NOTE: The Rocky Mountain Bloodhound Club respects the AKC (American Kennel Club) and we appreciate all they do for purebred dogs. We initially started out intending to become an official sanctioned AKC bloodhound specialty club; and we truly thank AKC President and AKC Club Relations for their guidance and encouragement to do so. But as we were near to applying a bloodhound group came forward with some hostilities and rather than diving into negativity, we decided to remain positively focused, with the purpose of assembling and supporting local bloodhound owners in the Rocky Mountain area. We exist, and we go forward as a "local dog club" (unaffiliated with any national or international dog registry, etc.); and we will continue to support of many local area AKC Dog Clubs, local Dog Trainers, local and official Bloodhound Handlers, you name it. We are a legally registered non profit in the State of Colorado, complete with an approved non-profit IRS tax id# . We look forward to growing our local bloodhound club membership, enriching bloodhound ownership, providing bloodhound education, supporting and organizing bloodhound events and activities, and supporting all sorts of local dog fun!
We want the very best for local bloodhound folks and for the bloodhound breed that we all love!
